In November 2020, APS Materials was established through the physical division of APS Holdings to establish an efficient management system and enhance competitiveness of the Metal Mask business, a key material in the display manufacturing process. Especially, FMM(Fine Metal Mask) Stick business is dominated by a small number of foreign companies due to its high technical difficulty. Until now, many companies are attempting new entry, but they have not shaken the current monopoly structure.

APS Materials has Metal Mask core technology: material ultra-thinning technology, ultra-fine pattern processing technology using laser, cleaning technology for foreign matter management directly related to yield and quality, and inspection technology to ensure perfect quality for customers. And 80% of employees are experts who have experienced and majored in related technology.

The technology of displays is changing very quickly. OLED applications are spreading not only to mobile but also to IT, and technology development of AR/VR devices that require ultra-high resolution is actively progressing. In line with this device development direction, APS Materials has overcome ultra-fine patterns that cannot be achieved with conventional techniques with ultra-thin technology and ultra-precision processing technology using lasers. In particular, our laser technology is based on the core technology of APS Group, which has been verified by leading global customers, and provides more stable product quality.

In addition to low resolution FMM for mobile / IT and ultra-high resolution FMM for AR/VR, R&D of metal masks for various applications requiring ultra-fine processing have been continuously expanded to satisfy customers in various fields that require precision masks.

In particular, laser technology is the core technology of the APS Group, and we are confident that it will soon be a company that will change the current monopoly structure, as it has been verified by global leading customers, not only hardware but also software.

In addition, we have developed Advanced Open Mask (AOM), which is an improvement of the existing Open Metal Mask (OMM). We have the ability to implement the High Aspect Ratio by utilizing the advantages of laser, and the ability to produce various masks based on various pattern formation technologies for various materials.
